I think the students and their supporters of this country did that quite well when fighting back today ?
15 protesters were arrested, 22 protesters and policemen were injured, I think that numbers pretty low compared to amount of people who were exercising their freedom of expression outside parliament today.
I've lived in the UK my whole life (17 years), known of parliament since I was at least ten, never did I consider such chaos on British streets. But you know what, it's brilliant ! The Gov. are trying to pass it off as volatile and immature young people causing trouble. If you hear this, I beg you to think, what are they causing trouble over ? EDUCATION !
Would the people the Gov. are trying to portray fight for education ? Not only that, but most of these protesters are already university students and are in no way effected by the increases unless they choose to do a masters. These students and their supporters aren't fighting for their benefit, their fighting for the benefit of others in the years to come ! Now does that sound like a group who are just a bunch of "anarchists". Protesters were treated brutally because the image they had, everyone who attended the demo's today are very brave and i have huge respect for them.
Do I see you kicking someone officer ?
The police tactics have become more and more brutal with each demonstration. Kettling, charging and beating, those were the tactics of today ! And because the protesters couldn't move they couldn't keep warm so a bit of innovation had to be used :)
A picture says a thousand words.
